A staple favorite for any pasta night in our house!

Ingredients

Dough
  • 3 3/4 Cup bread flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp Dry Yeast
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 Cup Warm Water
  • 2 TBS Olive Oil
Garlic Coating
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 6 Cloves Garlic, Crushed
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast with sugar and warm water approx 5 min
  2. add salt, oil and half of the flour
  3. In a stand mixer, Knead slowly until the dough is equally mixed, slowly add the remaining flour in small scoops.
  4. When the dough becomes a ball, let it knead on slow for 3 minutes. Remove the dough hook, cover the bowl and allow to rise until doubled in size in a warm place (60-90 minutes)
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Using a bench scraper, divide the dough into 16 equal pieces
  6. Roll each section into a rope and tie in a knot, place on a greased cookie sheet
  7. Cover and Rise for 30 minutes. Start preheating the oven to 450.
  8. Make the Garlic Coating: melt the butter, mix all ingredients together well. Gently brush the mixture over the knots just before putting them in the oven
  9. Bake 20 minutes
