A person who has never owned a dog has missed a wonderful part of life
I’ve had the extraordinary gift of living with animals from they day I was born. My mother is the ultimate animal lover and I am so thankful that is a part of her that was passed on to me. I’ve never known a day in my life when I did not share my home with at least one dog or cat and even had several dreamy years as a horse owner/breeder/show handler.
During a transition in her life, my mother had to step out of the paint horse breeding arena. It was a difficult decision, but it led her right into the Mini Aussie kennel. We’ve been raising, showing and improving the breed for more than 18 years.
Known in the AKC registry as Miniature American Shepherds, these dogs have been the biggest blessing to our family.

The Mini Shepherds came into our lives in 2004 with Gizmo. We all instantly fell in love with him and the breed. Coming off of a retired career of breeding Paint Horses it was natural to immerse myself into the world of raising and showing these dogs.
Always striving to improve the breed, our pack has grown beyond my wildest dreams. Our puppies have travelled to the far reaches of North America. Whether a world champion competitor or a companion, every single puppy starts in my loving home in North Idaho nurtured by friends and family.
I take this job seriously, pouring every ounce of my passion into their lives. I never stop learning about the breed, the best nutrition practices, the best health regiment and promotion of these special dogs. They really are special and I know that you will find that to be true as well.
