Enchilada Sauce

Quick and easy to make with ingredients you probably already have in the pantry! From scratch beats a packet every time.

Enchilada Sauce

Yield: 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 TBS Butter
  • 2 TBS Flour
  • 4 TBS Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper Powder
  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and flour in a pot over medium heat to create a roux.
  2. Whisk in seasonings until well blended.
  3. Whisk in broth
  4. Reduce to simmer for about 10 minutes
