Creamy Corn Chowder
A quick and easy family favorite
Ingredients
- 4 Strips of Bacon, Chopped
- 1 Small Onion, Chopped
- 3 Celery Stalks, Chopped
- 2 Carrots, Peeled and Chopped
- 1/4 Cup Flour
- 2 Clove Garlic, Minced
- 4 Cups Chicken Broth
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 4 Cups Sweet Corn
- 2 Large Potatoes, Chopped
- Season with Italian Seasoning Mix
Instructions
- Cook Bacon, remove, leaving 2TBS Fat in Pot (If using pre cooked bacon skip this step and add 2 TBS olive oil to pot and add bacon to step 2
- Add Onion, Celery, and Carrots. Sauce 5 minutes Add Garlic
- Stir in Flour, Mix well for 1 minute
- Stir in Chicken Broth
- Add Cream, Corn, Potatoes and Seasoning
- Heat Slowly until Potatoes are cooked through.
Italian Seasoning Blend
Mix it up an store it in an airtight glass jar!
Ingredients
- 2 TBS Dried Basil
- 2 TBS Dried Oregano
- 1 TBS Dried Parsley
- 1 TBS Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Dried Thyme
- 1 tsp Dried Rosemary
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes]
Instructions
- Put all ingredients into a jelly jar. Shake well to mix. Store in a cool dry place.
